Why do girls usually wear long dresses to prom and short dresses to homecoming?
Is it weird if I wear a short dress to prom? Because I’m close to 5″2 and I don’t know how to pick long dresses without looking extremely short… any suggestions?

No one cares. They r all to worried about there own dresses. And people usually wear long dresses to prom to feel like a princess and short dresses ro homecoming bacause that if the fashion.

Some girls wear short dress, I am pretty sure I will. Just make sure it is not too casual. It’s perfectly okay to be different. Just make sure you feel beautiful and confident no matter what!

It’s because prom is supposed to be considered more of a formal event than homecoming. However, at my school, pretty much all girls wear short dresses, but that’s cus they’re… welll, yeah, you know what I mean. But if you feel like a short dress, where a short dress. No one will care.

I’m wearing a short dress to prom because I am 5′ 0″
I think short dresses are okay for prom if they are the poofy ones, like this:

Wear the type of dress you feel comfortable in. Long gowns are necessarily “mandatory” for prom, they just look super formal.

At our school it’s just kind of a tradition, but honestly no one is going to look at you and be like SHORT DRESS WTF. Wear what you feel comfortable in.
