Question by Annie Lewis: Good place to buy bridesmaid dresses that are available all over the states?
I am the maid of honor in a wedding next year and I am helping the bride look for bridesmaid dresses. There are 4 bridesmaids in different places across the U.S. (MA, CA, NH, TX, NY) so we need dresses that are available in stores in all those states. I know Davids Bridal is an option but does anyone else have any other suggestions?? It also needs to be available in sizes bigger then 10. Thanks!

If you go with a “designer” most bridal stores can order it… you could go with “Jasmine” or “morrie lee” or any of the name brands. Also Alfred Angelo has stores across the US and can be ordered by smaller bridal stores.

My brother’s wife made things very simple for us by using Macy’s they really had great dresses in the gamut of sizes, they were good quality and could be shortened and worn again. Best of luck to you!!

I am from Texas and so are all of my girls and we ordered their dresses from Alfred Angelo. I know Alfred Angelo has stores in many states across the US. The dresses were great quality and very nice. My girls sizes were 6-20. So they definitely have sizes over 10. Mori Lee is also another great choice and you may be able to find bridesmaids dresses there cheaper than Alfred Angelo. All you need to do is have the bride pick the dress style and color and have the bridesmades go to a local dress store and get sized, they will do breast, chest, arm, height , everything, and they give you guys the measurments and you guys take the sizes and give them to the place you are getting your dresses done at make sense?

try online at http://www.lightinthebox.com they are great and deliver all over the states, they are custom made so each girl can log on, find the same dress, put their measurements in and get it delivered to their home, its cheap too! i have used them twice now and cant fault them,, they do take a few weeks to be made because theyre custom but thats not a real problem

Look up dessy dresses – their website links you with stockists so you can go and try them on. You can also change the colour of the dress on the website.

Visit the designers websites (Alfred Angelo, Bill Levkoff, etc.) and find a few dresses that you like. On the sites, there should be somewhere that will tell you where these dresses can be purchased in various states. If you choose to go this route, then do yourself a favor and make sure each maid brings a picture of the dress(es) with her. I went with Alfred Angelo dresses for my ladies and wish I had a pic of it. I finally got it, but could have made it easier on myself if I’d had the picture of it. And, all but one are over size 10!
