Farm Wedding..What to wear?

Question by Stink: Farm Wedding..What to wear?
I have some good friends who are getting married in June on a small family farm in Oregon…an outdoor wedding is planned and they are going to roast a pig :) . It is an afternoon wedding. As a 53 year old female guest, what would be the appropriate apparel for me to wear for such a wedding? The bride told me it will be very casual.

I would go with some light dress pants and a nice button up shirt.

I would say wear some jeans, boots and a nice button up blouse. If that isn’t your style then try some nice comfortable lace up boots, a long to medium skirt and a blouse. Overall though, my recommendation is some style of boots. If you go in heels, you won’t be able to walk, sneakers are too casual and flip flops are a BIG no no when dealing with livestock. If you have any questions, I am willing to help. Country lifestyle is my expertise!

I’m having a farm wedding too! if they say casual and it’s a farm wedding with a pig roast i would suggest a cute pair of pants and a cute shirt… we really don’t care what people wear to our wedding they can show up in jeans if they want!
